How to manage Portal Features

To set your portal features in Abara, follow these steps.

As a master administrator, you can enable/disable the portal features depending on your needs.

I WANT TO DO ECOMMERCE

To enable eCommerce in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to do eCommerce’ check box. This will add a new option ‘eCommerce’ in the left menu pane, where you can set PayPal & Stripe account and manage discount coupons.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO DO GAMIFICATION

To enable Gamification in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to do Gamification’ check box. This will add a new option ‘Gamification’ in the left menu pane, where you can manage badges and leaderboards.
  • Click Update.

I WANT THE LEARNERS TO SEE PASSPORT

To enable leaners to see passport in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want the learners to see passport’ check box. This will add a new option ‘My Passport’ on the learner side. Through My Passport you can see your certificates for future use.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO ENABLE ASK THE EXPERT WORKFLOW

To enable Ask the Expert Workflow in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to enable ask the expert workflow’ check box. This will add a new option ‘Ask the Expert’ in the left menu pane ‘My Courses’ at learner side. Learner can ask their queries by sending messages to instructor/ Line Manager/ Admin/ Sub-Admin.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO ENABLE LINE MANAGER WORKFLOW

To enable the Line Manager Workflow in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to enable Line Manager Workflow’ check box. This will add a new option under the Users sub-menu as Manage Line Managers.
  • Click Update.

I want the course request to also be shared with the hierarchy above the immediate Line Manager

To share the course request with the hierarchy above the immediate line manager in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want the course request to also be shared with the hierarchy above the immediate Line Manager’ check box. This will allow the hierarchy above the line manager to take action on the course requests in the absence of Line Manager.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO ALLOW USERS TO EXPORT THEIR BADGES TO MOZILLA BACKPACK

To enable export badges to Mozilla Backpack in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to allow users to export their badges to Mozilla Backpack’ check box. This will add a new option ‘My Passport’ on the learner side. Through My Passport you can save your certificates and badges to Mozilla Backpack for future use.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO ALLOW USERS TO UPDATE THEIR USERNAME/EMAIL ADDRESS

To enable users to update their username/email address in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to allow users to update their username/email address’ check box. This will allow users to update their username/email address through their profile settings.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO SETUP COURSE CREDITS

To enable the Course Credits in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to setup Course Credits’ check box. This will add a new option under the Course sub-menu as Manage Courses -> Add New Course.
  • Enter Course Credits in the Credits field and Click Update.

I WANT THE LEARNERS TO SEE THE COURSE CATALOG

To enable Course Catalog in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want the learners to see the course catalog’ check box. This will add a new option ‘Catalog’ in the left menu pane at learner side where leaners can view the created courses.
  • Click Update.

I WANT THE LERNERS TO SEE THE CALENDAR VIEW OF CATALOG

To enable calendar view of Catalog in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want the learners to see the calendar view of catalog’ check box. This will add a new option of calendar in left corner at learner’s Catalog where leaners can view the calendar of their catalog courses.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO KEEP THE GRID VIEW AS DEFAULT FOR LISTING THE COURSES

To enable Grid View as default for listing the courses in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to keep the grid view as default for listing the courses’ check box. This will set the default view of Courses as Grid View.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO KEEP THE GRID VIEW AS DEFAULT FOR LISTING THE LEARNING ASSETS

To enable Grid View as default for listing the learning assets in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to keep the grid view as default for listing the learning assets’ check box. This will set the default view of Learning Assets as Grid View.
  • Click Update.

I WANT THE LEARNERS TO SEE DETAILS OF A COURSE IN MY COURSES SECTION IN THE DEFAULT VIEW

To show details of a course in my courses section in the default view in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want the learners to see details of a course in my courses section in the default view’ check box. This will show the details of a course in my courses in the default view and add an option to hide the details.
  • Click Update.

I WANT TO ENABLE DEEP LINKING FOR A COURSE

To enable deep linking for a course in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘I want to enable deep linking for a course’ check box.
  • Click Update.
  • When a course is assigned to a user, he will get an email notification in which he will also receive that course link. If deep linking is enabled and learner is logged in to system, he will be redirected into that course.
  • If the user is not logged in, he will be redirected to the login page.

ATTENDANCE AVAILABLE TILL __DAYS AFTER THE SESSION END

To enable attendance available till some period of days in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘Attendance available till __ period of days check box. This will show the attendance till the days set after the session end.
  • Click Update.

NUMBER OF LEARNEING ASSESTS IN LIST VIEW

To decide the number of learning assets in list view in LMS, here’s what you need to do.

  • Select the ‘The number of learning assets in list view check box. This will show the entered number of learning assets in list view.
  • Click Update.
